I have a love-hate relationship with HDR. Sometimes I get caught up in a prolonged session of exposure bracketing and when I get back to my computer, I suddenly find myself 16-32 GB of frames to sort through. It can be quite de-motivating, and sometimes I just sit on a pile of unprocessed HDR shots and it really eats up hard drive space. It can also be a lot of fun, and in shots like these, there is so much detail to capture in a scene and HDR can be the only way to approach it. I enjoyed this shoot, as well as this shot.
I was back in Minnesota this spring but didn’t get much time in Minneapolis, so a quick run through my old neighborhood was brief but satisfying.
